What is coaching?

Creating clarity – exploring perspectives

Coaching is eye-to-eye exchange. I help you overcome daily challenges that arise from tensions between your personal, professional, and private life. Together we find ways for you to master your life successfully.

Map and compass

Coaching – themes

Topics for individuals

  • New orientation: recognizing and developing potential, identifying strengths, implementing options (see “Positioning”)
  • Managing transitions and upheavals in professional and private life
  • Clearing up conflict situations
  • Defining and developing leadership competencies
  • Defining and achieving work-life balance
  • Recognizing what’s important and where you want to go

Topics for teams

  • Recognizing, analyzing, and developing structures
  • Improving teamwork
  • Managing challenges
  • Identifying and pursuing common goals
  • Defining and developing team culture

Coaching – process

In a short initial meeting (phone or video call) we clarify important points such as your concerns and expectations, time frame, and organizational aspects. Arrangements are formalized in a coaching agreement.
Working sessions follow, with definition of problems and goals, development of solutions, and implementation steps. Important aspects are recorded in a brief protocol. Each session lasts 60 to 90 minutes. The number of sessions depends on the problems to be addressed and your requests.

Coaching – setting

I design the coaching setting flexibly according to your wishes. Online, at your premises in German-Swiss region Zurich/Basel/Bern/Luzern, or in my coaching space in Aarau.

Coaching – experiences

Examples from my work as a coach

  • You are a project manager who has started further training, but you aren’t sure whether you can cope with this new challenge
  • You are a technical expert who has repeatedly experienced similar conflict situations at work, and you seek to break this pattern
  • You are an HR manager unhappy in your current position, but you don’t know what you really want to do professionally
  • You manage a large department with 200 employees and fell overwhelmed by the increasing demands on both your professional and family life
  • You have lost your job as an IT specialist due to reorganization, and you are looking for support in dealing with the shock and finding a new direction

A client says…

“I got off to a wonderful start and feel not only very comfortable in my position but also extremely well ‘positioned’ and self-confident. I attribute this to your wonderful support. I often think about what we discussed… Heartfelt thanks once again for your great support”.
